A retail and wholesale bakery situated in the heart of Ghana. Named after two characters from the children’s fictional trilogy ‘His Dark Materials’ by Philip Pullman. The brand is inspired by this charming story of a young heroine Lyra and her 'inner-self' animal manifestation called Pan.
The Pan & Lyra identity encapsulates the brand’s playful quality and holds true to the brand's essence of ‘intrigue’. The strong stance of the two characters mirrors the formidable values of the company as well as the importance of relationships.
The brand style is adapted from the story's golden compass-like artefact which has a distinct Art Deco meets steampunk style. The asymmetrical logo shows the two stylised characters engaging each other with a sense of longing or spirited taunt whilst being symmetrically grounded though their names.
