LEOBO PRIVATE RESERVE
A completely private 20,000-acre estate based in the beautiful Waterberg mountains and home to the award-winning destination. The Leobo Private Reserve forges a harmonious union with its natural surroundings; aptly named in Northern Sotho after one of nature’s most adaptive and enchanting creature, the chameleon.
The identity is directly inspired by the lodge's cairn and layered architecture and the colourful chameleon-style palette.

THE WATERBERG OBSERVATORY
The observatory is situated within Leobo and is an integral part of the main house. Due to the reserve's remote location, the clear skies are some of the best in the world for Astronomy, thereby allowing guests the rare opportunity to experience a true starlit night safari.
It features a fully automated copper dome and houses two different types of telescopes – a 20 inch corrected Dahl Kirkham for looking at stars, Planets and Nebulae and an 8-inch Hydrogen Alpha scope for looking directly at the sun.
The lodge's chameleon-focused name gave rise to an identity which represents the perfect comparison between a chameleon's eye and the stars seen in the Waterberg's night sky.
