The brand-name Anzuri is a portmanteau of Africa and the word nzuri, meaning beautiful in Swahili.
The identity is luxurious in its simplicity, the sophisticated wordmark interacts with the space in which it occupies through the fissures in the letters, a metaphor for the guest's engagement with nature, the seamless flow of the natural environment and the lodge's footprint.
