Aramness
Aramness Gir National Park is the first in a planned portfolio of owner-run, luxury safari lodges that celebrate the diversity of India’s wildlife and culture.
̌
Aramness is a luxury wildlife lodge in India, an oasis situated on 18 km² of protected teak forest on the outskirts of Sasan Gir National Park in Gujarat. The lodge features 18 beautifully designed Khotis (homes) in a natural village setting. Sasan Gir is the home to the last remaining Asiatic Lion population in the world.
The name Aramness is a compound brand-name, meaning Peaceful Village:
ARAM – In Gujarati and Hindi means rest, relaxation, ease and comfort.
NESS – A small Maldhari village in Gir National Park.

Introducing the logo are the symmetrical antlers of the Chital Deer – a prolific character in the forests of India. They live a particularly symbiotic life working cooperatively with other wildlife, a character mimicking that of the Aramness brand. Nestled at the base of the antlers, is the Taara – or star – symbolic of the cardinal direction of the traveller – the Aramness guest. It provides direction for guests – connecting them with something greater, a sanctuary and place of rejuvenation.
Luxurious and elegant serifed forms create the wordmark – proud but not arrogant. The generous letterspacing reflects the private and revitalising space; the shared connection between the A and the R show the relationship between the guest and their experience at the lodge.
The Aramness visual language and brand identity were crafted to reflect the respectful and charming personality of India - its natural environment, its people and its culture.
